The purpose of this study is to examine the critical perception of Yang- Ming Studies by Sik-san Lee Man-Boo. Through Lee Man-Boo’s collection of literary works, "Siksanjip(息山集)" he confirmed that the literature criticizing Yang-Ming Studies among his writings was as follows. Lee Man-Boo was negatively aware of Wang Su-in, and was also concerned about the negative impact Wang Su-In had on his juniors. It was inevitable for Lee Man-Boo to reject Wang Su-In, who established his own private system outside of Jeong-ju's theory, and criticize Yang-Ming Studies Lee Man-Boo. regarded Wang Su-In's studies as heresy, and even criticized him as Buddhism(禪學), not studying abroad. In addition, Lee Man-Boo's criticism of Yang-Ming Studies’ concept was divided into three categories: "Criticism of mind is principle(心卽理)." "Criticism of expanding and deepening of the innate good knowledge(致良知)." and "Criticism of the theory of loving the people(親民)." Lee Man-Boo confirmed that Wang Su-In criticized the original "mind is principle(心卽理)." "expanding and deepening of the innate good knowledge(致良知)" and "the theory of loving the people(親民)," while maintaining his self-centered position. From the perspective of the ideal, it can be seen that Lee Man-Boo, a Confucian scholar of Joseon, thoroughly criticizes Yang-Ming Studies from the perspective of Zhujianism. This study alone does not fully identify the tendency of Joseon scholars to criticize Yang-Ming Studies during the 17th and 18th centuries. However, it is meaningful that he could guess that he had read the transcript completely, and through this study, he was able to confirm that some of Lee Man-Boo's writings were criticized for Yang-Ming Studies.
